The incident took place around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 3 at the intersection of Trumbull and Reservoir avenues in Bridgeport. According to Detective Thomas Harper of the Bridgeport Police, the 19-year-old was waiting for his 9-year-old cousin at the bus stop on Trumbull Avenue when a vehicle drove up and someone inside shot him, causing life-threatening injuries. Suspect Apprehended After Man Shot Dead In Front Of Gas Station In Bridgeport Bridgeport police were able to quickly make an arrest in the shooting death of a 50-year-old man found dead in front of a gas station. Jayvell Washington, 39, of Bridgeport was arrested around 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, just hours after the man was found shot to death in front of a Citgo gas station around 9 a.m. Sunday at 915 Reservoir Ave., Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
