Westport Man Allegedly Threatens To Shoot Police Officer, Hospital Staff A man threatened to shoot a Westport police officer and medical staff attempting to assist him over the weekend after he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, according to police. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Railroad place at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, where there were reports of two men in the roadway who may require medical attention.
