Man Nabbed For Shoplifting $1K In Goods From Area CVS A man who was spotted putting items in a brown paper bag at a CVS pharmacy was arrested fleeing the store. Joseph Carter III, address unknown, was apprehended by Westport Police around 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, after responding to the CVS Pharmacy on Post Road East in Westport for a report of a shoplifter, Westport Police said. Employees told officers Carter was observed placing items in a brown paper bag and then fled the store when approached by employees, police said. Westport Man Follows Woman Around Grocery Store, Out To Car, Police Say A Westport man was arrested on charges of breach of peace after following a woman around a grocery store and then out to her car, according to the Westport Police.The incident occurred Nov. 5 at the Fresh Market on Post Road East when James Lawrence, 52, followed the woman around inside the store and then stood outside the door of her car when she left the store, Westport Police said. Westport police were able to identify Lawrence and issued a warrant for his arrest. He turned himself into police on March 5 and was released after posting a $5,000 bond, police said.
