Darien High School Senior John Lochtefeld Earns DAR Good Citizen Award This year’s Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award has been given to Darien High School student John Lochtefeld, son of Nancy and Tom Lochtefeld. This award is given to the DHS senior who “best exemplifies the qualities of patriotism, citizenship, dependability and service to community.”  Elected by faculty and fellow senior class members, John will receive the award as well as a pin and certificate from DAR Good Citizen Chairman, Kim Kiner, and Regent, Catherine Love, during the holiday gathering, which will be hosted by Winifred and Tom Lom. Man Falls From Train Platform In Darien A 22-year-old man is being treated at an area hospital after falling from the Darien Train Station platform. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Monday when officers responded to the area of Post Road and the exit drive of the Darien Train Station, for the report of an unresponsive male, said Darien Police. Officers, along with POST 53 responders, treated the man on the scene, before transporting him to Stamford Hospital. The patient was identified as being from Monroe.
