A 33-year veteran Fairfield County police officer has died after a three-year battle with cancer,
Officer Douglas Robinson of the Stamford Police Department died on Wednesday, Aug. 24 surrounded by his family, said Stamford Police Chief Timothy Shaw.
Robinson's age and place of residence were not available.

MILFORD, Conn. — Two men who killed 20 chickens with their bare hands early on Christmas Day were arrested after a “gruesome animal cruelty investigation,” Milford police said.
Gregory Ulrich, 28, and John Budnovitch IV, 21, both of Milford, are facing multiple charges of animal cruelty, Milford police said after the Wednesday night arrests.
