Fairfield County Student Wins AAA Traffic Safety Poster Contest
An 11th-grade student from Fairfield Warde High School is a first-place winner in AAA Northeast’s Annual Traffic Safety Message Contest. Laura Galindo of Fairfield received a plaque and a $300 prize for her poster illustrating a distracted driving theme, in the 9th through 12th grade category. Contest topics varied by grade level and included seatbelt and booster seat use, school bus and bike safety, and distracted and impaired driving awareness.
