Burglar At Construction Site Near Shopping Center Caught In Act, Milford Police Say A 47-year-old man was caught red-handed by cops attempting to steal construction equipment from a work site near an area shopping center, police said. Members of the Milford Police Department on patrol at approximately 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 spotted suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Aldi’s shopping plaza on Plains Road. According to police, the officers set up surveillance and saw a man enter a restricted construction site in the area by cutting a hole in the fence. Police in Connecticut have released surveillance photos of a suspect who allegedly stole cash from Cumberland Farms on Boston Post Road in Milford. According to the Milford Police Department, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, a suspect waited for a cash register at Cumberland Farms to be opened, then reached over and took cash from inside the drawer. He then fled the store northbound on Plains Road in the direction of I-95.
