Man Accused Of Shooting 8-Year-Old In Ear In Bridgeport During Drive-By A 23-year-old man has been accused of shooting an 8-year-old boy in the ear during a drive-by in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Bridgeport on Sunday, July 23 in the 300 block of Orchard Street. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area around 11 p.m. after being alerted by ShotSpotter to 16 rounds being fired in the area and another for rounds on Spring Street. 20 Shots Fired: 8-Year-Old Hit During Shootout In Bridgeport An 8-year-old boy was shot during a shootout between two men on a Fairfield County street. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 11 p.m., Sunday, July 23, at the 300 block of Orchard Street when 16 rounds were detected by ShotSpoetter, and another four rounds were discharged within the 300 block of Spring St.  A few minutes later the Bridgeport Police Emergency Operations Center received reports of a person shot in the ear in the 200 block of Orchard Street, said Capt. Fugitive Wanted For Striking Officer With Vehicle In School Parking Lot Nabbed, Monroe PD Says A man wanted for allegedly hanging around the parking lot of an area high school approaching students and then striking a police officer with his vehicle when approached has been apprehended. Edwin Galve-Lemus, 32, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 6 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, by the Monroe Police Department with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and the Bridgeport Police Department, said Monroe Police Lt.  Stephen Corrone.  Galve-Lemus was taken into custody on a warrant at a residence on Orchard Street in Bridgeport, Corrone said.
