Closure For Construction Scheduled On Busy Roadway In Darien A busy roadway will be closed to through traffic in Fairfield County during construction. The closure on Old Kings Highway in Darien on the bridge over Stony Brook River will run from Tuesday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 27.  All residences will remain accessible throughout the construction period, the Darien Department of Public Works said. Darien Police Department officers responded to Philadelphia on Tuesday, Aug. 30, to extradite Colleen Kane, who was being held on a fugitive from justice charge, the Darien Police Department said.
