A Philadelphia man has been charged with making a false incident report telling police that his former girlfriend was being held at gunpoint in Connecticut. The incident occurred in Fairfield County on Sunday, March 17, around 8:30 a.m. According to Lt. Three people were able to escape a Fairfield County house fire without injury. The fire occurred in New Canaan on White Shade Oak Lane around 11:40 p.m., Monday, April 8. The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled oysters grown and harvested in Connecticut following an outbreak of norovirus.
