Man With Active Warrants Caused Disturbance At Westport Restaurant, Police Say A man who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Amtrak Police in New Haven was arrested after he allegedly created a disturbance at a Westport restaurant. Police were called to the restaurant June 18 where the man was reportedly yelling at people inside, and when they got there the man had already left,  according to Westport Police. In March and April, four packages containing headless chickens were left in the yard of a Franklin Street residence in Westport. Video Catches Woman Stealing Wallet From Westport Restaurant Employee A 27-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant more than two months after she was caught on surveillance video taking the wallet of a restaurant employee in Westport, police said. Jaquisha Bridgeforth, 27, of Bridgeport, was observed on surveillance video taking the wallet from the coat pocket of the employee on March 14. Officers later learned she took the wallet and threw it in the garbage after leaving the restaurant, police said. Woman Charged With Stealing Clothes From Westport Merchant A Hudson Valley woman involved in a clothing theft scheme in Fairfield County turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to Westport Police. In October, a woman stole more than $300 in clothing from a downtown merchant. A second woman later entered the store and returned the stolen items and received a gift card for the items’ value. The victim reportedly left work on Jan. 25, when she was allegedly approached by 19-year-old Dulces Rios-Melendez and a Naomi Torres, 20, who were waiting for her at her vehicle.
