Stratford Man Trespasses, Interferes With House Fire Response, Police Say A 25-year-old Fairfield County man faces charges after allegedly interfering with officers as they responded to a house fire in Litchfield County, police said.  The incident happened on Tuesday, April 25 around 8 a.m., when police responded to a house in Harwinton at 100 Wildcat Hill Rd. for a reported structure fire, according to state police.  While troopers responded to the fire, 25-year-old Stratford resident Ronald Nelson allegedly trespassed onto the scene and interfered with police while they were investigating the blaze.  Nelson was then arrested and charged with the…

Wrong-Way Crash: Driver Charged After Striking Patrol Cruiser, CT State Police Say A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly driving in the wrong direction on a major highway and slamming into a state police cruiser and then fleeing the scene. The incident took place in New Haven on Friday, March 31 on I-91 around 8:30 p.m. between Exits 1 and 2. According to state police, troopers attempted to stop a wrong-way driver that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on I-91 between exits 2-1. CT Man Under Influence Flees Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash while driving under the influence. The incident took place around 10:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 in Waterbury. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 8 northbound, south of Exit #36, in the City of Waterbury.  One of the vehicles involved in the collision had allegedly fled the scene of the crash, state police said. Tijun Mims, age 26, of Hamden, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 18, for an incident that took place at the Red Roof Inn in Milford on Thursday, Feb. 4, said the Milford Police. While being arrested on Feb. 4 for the Department of Corrections for being a parole jumper, Mims was found to be in possession of an assault rifle, a semi-automatic pistol, and four high-capacity magazines, police said.
