Hit-Run Crash: Pedestrian Injured In New Canaan
A pedestrian was injured after allegedly being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County. The incident took place in New Canaan around 10: 50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the intersection of South Avenue and Cherry Street. Arriving officers and New Canaan EMS provided medical care to the pedestrian who sustained a non-life-threatening injury, said Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police. A Fairfield County man was injured after being struck by a police vehicle in front of a local department's headquarters. The incident took place in New Canaan around 9 p.m., Monday, June 27 in front of the New Canaan Police Department at 156 South Ave. The New Canaan Police vehicle was exiting the parking lot of 156 South Ave., to turn right onto South Avenue to head north, said Lt. Five people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on I-95 in Fairfield County. Firefighters responded to a report of a crash on I-95 southbound between exits 17 and 16 in Westport at about 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, according to the Town of Westport Fire Department Officials reported that a vehicle in the northbound lanes had struck the center barrier and traveled into the southbound lanes, where it was struck by a southbound vehicle. A teenage girl was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11 in New Canaan. New Canaan Police Searching For Hit/Run Driver Who Struck Bicyclist
Police are on the lookout for a driver who hit a bicyclist and then fled the scene in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 12:511 p.m., Wednesday, April 28 when a vehicle traveling northbound on Smith Ridge Road (Route 123) in New Canaan struck a cyclist who was also traveling northbound and then left the scene of the crash, said Lt.
