Man Charged With Possessing Gun, Drugs At New Canaan Train Station A man was charged with allegedly possessing a gun and drugs after police responded to a Fairfield County train station on a medical call. Robert Buckley, age 42, of Springfield, Illinois, was charged in New Canaan on Thursday, Nov. 29. According to Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police, officers responded to the Talmadge Hill Train Station lot on a medical assist call. While assisting with the medical response, officers discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia, DeFelice said. Officers also located a firearm. Massive Fairfield County Internet Outage: Duo Accused Of Cutting Fiber Optic Lines Two people have been charged with cutting fiber optic lines which resulted in more than 40,000 customers with lost internet, TV, and phone service in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Norwalk on Friday, March 24 around 7:15 a.m. Norwalk officers responded to a report of damage to Optimum cable lines on Broad Street. Optimum personnel on the scene reported over 2000 fiber optic lines had been cut and as a result, over 40,000 customers had lost service, said Norwalk Deputy Police Chief Terrence Blake.
