The incident happened mid-morning on Monday, Jan. 10 in New Haven County at a home in Milford. Stamford Woman, Milford Man Nabbed For Stealing Cash Register From Area Inn A cash register found in a porta-potty led to the arrest of two people for robbery, police said. Police determined that the register found on Sunday was from the Redwood Inn, 341 Naugatuck Ave., said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey. An extensive investigation, which included a K-9 track, led to the apprehension Nicholas Melita, 26, of Milford and Danielle Gaetano, 33, of Stamford, for allegedly entering the Redwood Inn after hours and stealing the cash register, Dempsey said.
