The delays, reported just before 8 a.m., were due to single-tracking as a result of wire damage between Bridgeport and Stratford, the MTA said. Eastbound service operated from Grand Central Terminal to Bridgeport. Substitute bus service was provided from Bridgeport to New Haven due to wire damage between Bridgeport and New Haven.
