Video: Duo Drives Car Through Fairfield Shop, Steal Items
Police in Fairfield County are investigating after two suspects allegedly drove a car through a business and made off with merchandise before fleeing. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 3:25 a.m., Sunday, March 24, at the Mohegan Smoke Shop, 525 Tunxis Hill Cutoff. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police, officers found the entire storefront of the business significantly damaged and later determined that a vehicle had backed through the entry to gain access into the building. Wilton Man Charged In Smoke Shop Attack
A Wilton man has been charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly walked into an area smoke shop and threw objects at an employee and damaged the store. The incident took in Fairfield County at the Mohegan Smoke Shop at 14 Danbury Road on Wednesday, March 29 in Wilton. According to Wilton Police Capt. Gregg Phillipson Peter Zareski, age 48, came in, damaged the shop, and threw objects at an employee. Five Fairfield County businesses were busted for allegedly selling vape tobacco products to minors during an undercover compliance check. The compliance check took place in Norwalk on Monday, Dec. 19 at several different locations. The Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division and Special Victims Unit conducted the checks after continued complaints from parents regarding minors purchasing vape tobacco products, said Lt. Five Fairfield County businesses have been busted for allegedly selling vaping products and tobacco to minors during a sting operation. The operation took place in Stamford on Thursday, Oct. 20. According to Stamford Police Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, the department NARC and Organized Crime Unit teamed up with the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction after receiving numerous complaints from parents and residents of underage sales.
