Man Charged In Brutal Beating Murder Of Fairfield County Resident After almost four years a Connecticut man has been charged in connection with a brutal beating murder of a Fairfield County man in front of a grocery store. Luis Hernandez, age 44, of Waterbury, was arrested by US Marshals on a warrant on Wednesday, Jan. 4, and charged in the 2019 murder of Miguel Lopez, age 46, in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport. Swerving Driver Accused Of Driving Under Influence In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man was arrested for alleged DUI after he was seen swerving into oncoming traffic and almost hitting a guardrail. Miguel Lopez, 34, of Stamford was arrested on Friday, Nov. 13, by Darien Police after officers were dispatched to Hecker Avenue on a report of an erratic driver, said Sgt. James Palmieri. ID Released For Man Beaten To Death In Bridgeport A 55-year-old man who was found beaten to death in Bridgeport has been identified by police. Miguel Lopez, of Bridgeport, was found around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, May 19, at the Mambo Grocery at 731 Noble Ave., when Bridgeport Police responded for a report of an assault. Once on the scene, cops found Lopez lying inside the store on the floor, said Terron Jones, a spokesperson for the Bridgeport Police.
