A man is facing years in prison after pleading guilty to three bank robberies in Connecticut.
Francesco Pensiero, "Frank," age 51, of Stamford, admitted the 2020 robberies on Tuesday, June 4, according to Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, Pensiero and an associate robbed the Chase Bank located at 2855 Main St., in Stratford.

Suspect Nabbed For Carjacking, Assault At Gas Station In Fairfield County
Police have apprehended a man wanted for months following a carjacking and assault at a gas station in Fairfield County.
The incident took place in Stratford on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at the Citgo gas station located on Main Street.
According to Capt. Frank Eannotti, of the Stratford Police, the victim left her vehicle running with the driver's door slightly ajar while getting gas.
An SUV pulled up next to her vehicle and the suspect, identified as Tayvion Hart, age 19, of New Haven, got into the driver seat of her car, Eannotti said.

A preliminary report and bodycam footage have been released in connection with the fatal shooting of a Fairfield County man by a police officer.
The Hartford State’s Attorney’s office on Tuesday, Feb. 2, released the preliminary report and video footage of the fatal shooting of Christopher Hagans, age 36, of Stratford, who was killed by gunshot wounds to the head, torso, left upper and lower extremities.

Man Nabbed In Citgo Gas Station Burglary/Robbery, Police Say
A 47-year-old man was nabbed for an alleged early morning robbery and damage to a Stratford Citgo Gas station.
The incident took place around 115 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the station located at 805 Main Street, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Based on surveillance video, during the robbery, the suspect, Matthew Russell Walsh, of Wethersfield, caused approximately $2,000 dollars in damage to the business and stole $300 dollars worth of merchandise, Eannotti said.
