Hit-And-Run: Driver Charged With Injuring Pedestrian In Stamford Crosswalk STAMFORD, Conn. — Thanks to quick-thinking witnesses who took photos of the fleeing car, Stamford police were able to make an arrest in a hit-and-run that left a man lying injured in a busy roadway on Saturday afternoon, according to the Stamford Advocate.  A 53-year-old man told police that he had waited for the signal as he crossed High Ridge Road near Square Acre Drive in the crosswalk, the Advocate said.   When a car came at him at a high rate of speed, he jumped back but was struck on the left side of his body and hit his head in the roadway, the Stamford Advocate said. Police ID Fairfield Woman Killed In Pedestrian Accident In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford police identified the woman who was struck and killed by a car as she walked to work Tuesday morning as they continued to investigate the details of what exactly happened, according to the Stamford Advocate.    Fairfield resident Lynette Wagner, 59, died of her injuries at Stamford Hospital, the Advocate said.
