Accounting Firm Adding 110 Jobs By Opening Office In Fairfield County
An accounting firm will be bringing more than 100 new jobs are set to come to Fairfield County over the next several years. Connecticut Gov. Daniel Malloy announced on Monday that KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm, is bringing an estimated 110 jobs over the next five years in a brand new Stamford Office on Washington Boulevard. A New Canaan man working as an executive for an audit firm is facing nearly 100 years in prison for his role in an elaborate wire fraud scheme. Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced this week that David Britt, 54, was among five former employees at accounting firm KPMG who are facing charges in connection with their scheme to defraud the Securities and Exchange Commission for several years through an elaborate series of back channels.
