Police Searching For Brazen Fairfield County Home Invasion Suspect Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a woman and forced her into her home at gunpoint during broad daylight in Fairfield County.  The brazen attack took place around 11 a.m., Thursday, July 8, on Jewett Avenue in Bridgeport. A man who had been seen in the area forced the woman into her home at gunpoint and demanded she lie down on the floor, said Scott Appleby, the City of Bridgeport's director of Emergency Management. Search On For Attempted Robbery Suspect, Police Say Police are searching for a suspect in a reported attempted robbery that so far hasn't yielded any results. The incident took place around 6 p.m., Sunday, March 1 in the Jewett and Goldenrod Avenue area in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office Emergency Of Management. Bridgeport police searched the area and requested a K-9 officer from state police, but a suspect has not been located, Appleby said. On Monday, March 2, Appleby said an investigation is underway and no additional information was available.
