A Fairfield County man has been charged in the alleged armed robbery of another man outside of an illegal after-hours club. Marquise King, age 29, of Bridgeport was charged on Tuesday, Dec. 12 in Shelton. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred in early October, said Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky. Post Office Carjacker Nabbed After Foot Chase In Shelton, Police Say
A man was nabbed for allegedly robbing and carjacking an elderly woman at a post office in Fairfield County. The incident occurred on Friday, April 14, at the Shelton downtown Post Office. According to Det. Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police, an elderly went to the downtown Post Office and used the drop mailbox when an unknown Hispanic man entered the rear seat of her vehicle and asked her for money. 48-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing Man With Kitchen Scissors In Fairfield County
One person is facing assault charges after a 34-year-old man was stabbed with a pair of kitchen scissors in Fairfield County. Alex Chamoro, age 48, of Shelton, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 3, following the incident that happened at about 2 p.m. that day in an apartment on Howe Avenue in Shelton, police said. The Shelton Police Department said Chamoro was involved in a dispute with a woman and her 34-year-old son, and Chamoro stabbed the man during the dispute. Clerks At Seven Fairfield County Businesses Busted Selling Tobacco, E-Cigarettes To Minors
Employees at seven businesses were busted selling tobacco and e-cigarettes to minors during a special sting operation, police in Fairfield County announced. In late April, in Shelton, law enforcement agencies conducted unannounced compliance inspections at 17 locations to see if clerks would sell to underage buyers. Of the 17 locations, seven were found to be non-compliant and offending clerks were ticketed and fined $300. Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle In Shelton
An 83-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a street in Shelton. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, when Shelton Police, Fire and EMS responded to the area of Howe Avenue and Grove Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, said Shelton Police Det.
