Person Struck By Car At Busy Intersection In Fairfield County A pedestrian was hit by a car in Fairfield County during the early-morning hours. The crash took place around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29 on Atlantic and Henry streets in Stamford, police said. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Stamford Police said. The area was closed for an investigation but reopened a short time later. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Ernest Rosario, age 20, of Harlem, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 16 in connection with the Dec. 2020 murder of Jeffrey Vanech, of Stamford. Vancech was found shot multiple times while he sat in a car at the corner of Henry and Cedar streets, according to Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police. Jerry Diaz, 20, of Stamford, was arrested by Stamford Police around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, in what started as a call for a harassment complaint at 27 High Ridge Road, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
