Hazardous Materials Found Inside Burning Home In Pound Ridge While fighting a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence, firefighters had to quickly evacuate the building after finding hazardous materials inside.  The fire happened on Sunday, Aug. 13 around 8:15 a.m., when firefighters from numerous departments responded to a home in Pound Ridge on Salem Road (Route 124) that had ignited.  According to the Bedford Hills Fire Department, arriving crews found heavy flames coming out of the two-story wood-frame building.
