Burglary Reported At Popular Restaurant In Ridgefield
Ridgefield Police are actively investigating the theft of a cash drawer from a popular local restaurant. The burglary took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Hideaway Restaurant on Grove Stree, said Ridgefield Police Capt. Shawn Platt. A cash drawer containing $300 was reported to be missing from the restaurant, Platt said. There was no evidence of forced entry, and there are no suspects at this time, he added. The case is under investigation by the Detective Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-431-2794.
