Woman Sentenced For Killing 34-Year-Old CT Educator
A Connecticut woman will spend at least 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony murder of a 34-year-old woman.
New Haven County resident Heather Anderson, age 35, of Naugatuck, was sentenced on Thursday, March 21 to 30 years in prison, with a 25-year minimum, according to Fox61.
The murder took place in New Haven County around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, in Waterbury on Newbury Street.
According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, officers responded to Newbury Street for a medical assistance complaint.

Second Suspect Charged In Homicide At Inn In Bridgeport
A second man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Bridgeport man last year.
Donnell Williams 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 27, for allegedly taking part in the murder of Alfanso Anderson on Feb. 26, 2018, at the Sunny Side Inn, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
Police believe that Anderson, 48, was an innocent victim when Williams and Glenn Pettway, 25, of Bridgeport, went to collect a debt owed to a prostitute, police said.
Anderson was reportedly mistaken for the man that owed the money.

Third Man Arrested In Fairfield County Drug Deal Gone Bad Murder
A third person has been arrested in the 2016 murder of a Bridgeport man shot twice in the head during a drug deal gone bad.
Tyreik Gantt, 20, of 143 Connecticut Ave., Stamford, was arrested Friday for his role in the killing of Shane Slinsky, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
Slinsky was shot twice in the head on Aug. 27, 2016, on Wood Terrace in Bridgeport, during a drug deal gone bad, police said.
A juvenile was arrested earlier this week, and last March, 19-year-old Stamford resident Jeremy Middleton was charged with murder in connection with his death.
