5 Apprehended After Shooting, Lengthy Police Chase, Including On I-84
Five people were arrested following a lengthy police chase, including on I-84, after police saw shots coming from the vehicle.
The incident started just before 6 p.m. in Hartford on Thursday, Aug. 11 when detectives in an unmarked police vehicle in the Broad Street area when the officers saw shots being fired from a white Honda Passport.
The officers began following the vehicle, which was reported stolen out of Meriden, as the driver fled on I-84 west, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

Police have released new details and the identities of three children who were allegedly strangled to death by their mother in their Fairfield County home.
The incident took place in Danbury on Wednesday, July 27 on Whaley St.
The children, Junior Panjon, age 12, Joselyn Panjon, age 10, and Jonael Panjon, age 5, were found by police after the department received a request for a welfare check from a distraught and crying person, said Det. Capt. Mark Williams.

Trio Nabbed After Robbery Spree Targeting CT Stores Statewide
Three Connecticut men have been charged with committing at least eight robberies of convenience and smoke shops across the state earlier this year.
The three were indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, June 16 in New Haven County, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Those charged include Steven Galarza, age 24, of Seymour; Efrain Deleon, age 58, and Gilberto Deleon, age 56, both of New Britain, officials said.

IDs Released For Man Charged, Victim Fatally Shot While Lying In Bed In CT Neighborhood
Police have identified a Connecticut man who was shot and killed while lying in bed with his pregnant fiancé.
The Hartford County incident happened around 11 p.m., Wednesday, March 16 in the borough of Unionville, located in the Town of Farmington.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jorge Tejada Camacho, age 32, lying in bed with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead, McKenzie said, said Lt. Tim McKenzie, of the Farmington Police.

Storm With Damaging Winds Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Connecticut
A strong storm with damaging wind gusts has left thousands without power in Connecticut.
At around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, about 12,500 outages were reported statewide.
A total of 11,500 Eversource customers are without service, with most of the outages in the Town of Litchfield (1,959), Monroe (1,700) in Fairfield County, Cheshire (658) in New Haven County, Winchester (590) in Litchfield County, Farmington (487) in Hartford County, Thomaston (434) in Litchfield County, Southbury (414) in New Haven County, and Harwinton (337) in Litchfield County.
