A Fairfield County high school was placed on lockdown after receiving a threat of violence. The incident occurred at Notre Dame High School in Fairfield around 1 p.m., Thursday, April 11. A person was hit and killed by a garbage truck in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Fairfield around 7:13 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the area of Camfield Drive at Bloomfield Drive.
