Feds Cite CT Company For 48 Safety, Health Violations After Worker’s Death A Connecticut company has been cited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for 48 safety violations after an employee was electrocuted and died. The incident took place in Litchfield County at PM Engineered Solutions Inc. when an employee of the metal fabrication company was electrocuted in July while repairing a portable water heater in Watertown.  An inspection by OSHA found that the company lacked safeguards to protect employees against electrocution, as well as mechanical, chemical, fall, and other electrical hazards, said the US Department of Labor. Teen Critically Injured After Touching Live Wire While Playing On Top Of Metro-North Train Car A 16-year-old teen is in "extremely critical condition" after being electrocuted while playing on top of a parked train car. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 3:21 a.m., Monday, June 22, when the teen, who was playing in a Metro-North train car in Bridgeport touched a hot catenary/transmission line, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management. 25-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Being Shocked While Doing Tree Work in Wilton A tree worker is hospitalized in critical condition after he was reportedly electrocuted Wednesday, June 5  at a home in Wilton. Wilton Police officers responded at 6:38 p.m. at 55 Ruscoe Road where they reportedly found the 25-year-old man unresponsive, said police.
