Stamford Raises Minimum Wage Ahead Of State Schedule
Stamford has raised the minimum wage for seasonal and part-time employees to $12.50. This increase is part of Mayor David Martin’s promise to raise the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour ahead of the state’s 2023 deadline. Connecticut’s minimum wage was raised to $11 an hour on Monday, October 1 and will increase by $1 each year to reach $15 an hour by 2023.
