Latest Update: Woman Caused Daughter's Death By Bringing Her Into CT River, Police Say A 24-year-old woman has been charged with murder after allegedly intentionally drowning her 2-year-old child in the Connecticut River following several crashes, police announced.  Middlesex County resident Devoni Miller of Cromwell was arrested by Connecticut State Police on Thursday, Dec. 21 in connection with the death of her daughter, Deroyal Miller, in September 2023, authorities announced.  State Police took Miller into custody shortly after she was arrested by Cromwell Police in connection to a crash that occurred just before the child's death.  Earlier Repo…

CT State Police Seek Witnesses To Crash, 'Suspicious' Death Of Child Passenger The suspicious death of a 2-year-old girl following a two-car crash has Connecticut State Police asking for any witnesses to step forward. The collision took place in Middlesex County in Cromwell on Route 9 around 5:20 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11. According to State Police, Devoni Miller, age 24, of Cromwell, was traveling southbound in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata when she allegedly hit the back of a 2010 Kia Forte driven by Hartford County resident Cheryl Robbins, age 59, of Rocky Hill.
