Man Writes Bogus Inheritance Letter After Friend's Death, Police Say .A suspicious inheritance note led to the arrest of a Fairfield County man who allegedly attempted to steal his friend’s belongings, police said. Officers from the Shelton Police Department were dispatched to a Howe Avenue apartment on April 19, where there was a report of an unresponsive man inside the residence.
