CT Convicted Felon Busted With Illegal Guns, Ammunition, Police Say
A Connecticut convicted felon is being held on a $2.5 million bond following a warrant raid on his apartment in which guns and ammunition were allegedly found.
New Haven County resident Hipolito Lopez, age 49, of Waterbury, was charged on Wednesday, Dec. 6, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police.
During the raid of Lopez's apartment, officers recovered a ghost gun assault rifle, two handguns, four high-capacity magazines, and various kinds of ammunition, Bessette said.

A Fairfield County man recently acquitted on a 2012 murder charge was nabbed by police following a weeks-long investigation he might be in possession of a firearm.
Hakeem Atkinson, age 27, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 5, after Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime agents stopped him as he was leaving work in Fairfield, said Stamford Deputy Chief Richard Conklin.
The investigation allowed the unit to obtain warrants for his person, vehicle, and home, Conklin said.

A Fairfield County man wanted in connection with an alleged drive-by shooting that injured an innocent bystander was nabbed after agents spotted him on a city street.
The incident took place in Stamford on Saturday, May 7 on Sixth Street in the area of LA Fitness.
Ricardo Georges, age 32, of Stamford, was wanted in connection with a Monday, March 14 drive-by shooting on the city's west side that injured a 72-year-old man who was working on his vehicle, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police.

Westport Police: Man Arrested For Having Bullet In Pocket
Westport police arrested a man who kept going inside a gas station and harassing an employee after being told to leave.Lee Bember, 30, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 9 p.m. Sunday, March 25, when officers were dispatched to the gas station and found him parked in the lot, Westport Police said.
