Man Dies After Stabbing Inside Stamford Home A call for a man bleeding profusely on a Stamford street led to detectives investigating the city's second homicide of the year when the man died a short time later. The call came in around 10 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, of a man lying on the sidewalk at the intersection of Cove and Frederick streets, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. Police and EMS immediately offered aid and the man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, Conklin said.
