Two Teens Nabbed For Stealing Woman's Purse In Shelton As She Loaded Items In Car Two 16-year-olds were nabbed after allegedly stealing the purse of a 73-year-old Fairfield County woman as she loaded items in her car. The incident took place in Shelton at the Walmart located on Bridgeport Avenue around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31. According to Shelton Police, a vehicle approached the woman and the passenger exited and stole her purse while pushing her.  Eyewitnesses and video surveillance revealed the vehicle was Hyundai Tucson which was later discovered to be stolen, police said. Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Convenience Store Robbery, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for an alleged robbery of a New Haven convenience store.  Shanqueto Pinnock, 19, of Stratford, was arrested on Wednesday, March 17, for his involvement in the October armed robbery of the S&A Mart at 95 Wakelee Ave. in Ansonia, said Lieutenant Patrick Lynch. According to Lynch, Pinnock was one of two men armed with a handgun who entered the store and demanded money from an employee. Several hundred in cash was taken along with merchandise, police said. Police Nab Man Wanted In 2018 Armed Robbery Of Delivery Driver In Ansonia A 22-year-old area man has been arrested in connection with a 2018 robbery of a delivery driver at gunpoint. Leroy Shaw, of Ansonia, was arrested on Monday, July 13, on a warrant by Ansonia Police for his alleged involvement in the crime that took place on Dec. 31, 2018, said Lt. Patrick Lynch. Shaw’s arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the robbery, where two men robbed a delivery driver of cash and the food, Lynch said.
