Suspect Hospitalized After Officer-Involved Shooting Causes Road Closure, CT State Police Say An officer-involved shooting that led to the closure of a busy area roadway is underway investigation. At approximately 6 p.m. on, Saturday, April 20, two Wethersfield officers attempted a motor vehicle stop of the suspect’s vehicle on Route 99 (Silas Deane Highway), state police said.  After a collision between the suspect's vehicle and a Wethersfield Police cruiser, one officer exited his vehicle and the suspect’s vehicle drove towards that officer, who then discharged his firearm, said police.
