Good Samaritan Turned Hero Cheered For Actions After Downtown Stamford Attack, Robbery Police in Connecticut are praising a Good Samaritan for helping a woman who was attacked and robbed earlier this week and for later helping capture the alleged suspect. The incident occurred Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, when an 18-year-old woman was walking in downtown Stamford near the intersection of Atlantic Street and Tresser Boulevard. A man tackled her to the ground and tried to steal her handbag, police said. 2 Spa Workers Charged With Prostitution In Fairfield County Two women in their 60s have been charged with alleged prostitution after a search warrant was executed at a Fairfield County spa. The warrants were served in Stratford at the Garden Spa, 1804 Barnum Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 29. According to Stratford Police Captain Jerry Pinto, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit recently investigated the spa's activities. 'Targeted' Greenwich Resident Carjacked By Pair Of Armed Men, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating an alleged carjacking in which the victim was targeted. The incident occurred in Greenwich around 10 a.m., Sunday, July 14, in the area of Clapboard Ridge Road and Khakum Wood Road.  According to Lt. Patrick Smyth of the Greenwich Police, the victim was approaching the front gate at Khakum Wood Road when a dark-colored sedan pulled up behind him.  Two men, both possibly Black or Hispanic, wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, exited their vehicle and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.
