Escaped Inmate From Connecticut Prison Captured In Georgia
An inmate who escaped from Carl Robinson Correction Institution in Enfield was captured in Georgia on Wednesday after 10 days on the run, according to state police.Jerry Mercado, 25, had escaped from prison on Sunday, Jan. 7, lead to a full scale search by multiple public safety agencies. Mercado, who is from Hartford, had been classified as a low-risk offender, according to state police.
