Fairfield County Man Accused Of Masturbating In Public Parking Lot
A 23-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested for masturbating in a public parking lot in Putnam County, police said. On Thursday, Dec. 10, State Police at the Brewster barracks said they responded to reports of a man masturbating in a public parking lot on Route 22 in the town of Southeast at approximately 7:15 p.m. Maxwell D. Cleary of Bethel was charged with the misdemeanor of public lewdness. Cleary will appear in the town of Southeast Court in December to answer his charges.

Ridgefield Man, 32, Accused Of Stealing Items From Former Employer’s Building
A 32-year-old man has been accused of stealing items from a former employee’s building in Putnam, police say. New York State Police say that Karl Knoche of Ridgefield illegally forced his way into a former employer’s business building in Southeast and stole 10 valve regulated lead acid batteries. Knoche was arrested by NYSP from the Brewster barracks on Thursday, April 5. He was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Fairfield County Driver Caught With Cocaine, 30 Grams Of Pot, Police Say
A 30-year-old man is behind bars after a stop on I-684 led to the discovery of both cocaine and marijuana, state police from the Brewster barracks. Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2014 Ford Escape on I-684 in Southeast on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 1:45 a.m. for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. While interviewing the operator, a strong odor of marijuana was detected, state police said. Further investigation found approximately 30.2 grams of marijuana and 3.7 grams of cocaine.
