Beardsley Zoo Announces Death Of Beloved Golden Lion Tamarin A popular Connecticut zoo has announced the tragic death of a much-loved golden lion tamarin who died after an unviable birth.  On Thursday, March 7, The Beardsley Zoo, located in the Fairfield County city of Bridgeport, announced the death of Cricket, a 6-year-old golden lion tamarin.  According to the zoo, Cricket died immediately after an unviable birth. Two Racehorses Found Dead After Fire Breaks Out At Belmont Stables A pair of racehorses died and three men were injured when a fire broke out in a barn on the backstretch of Belmont Park, officials announced. First responders were dispatched to the track at approximately 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 when there was a fire reported inside the stables at the track on Hempstead Turnpike.
