Man Accused of Brutal Attack At Darien Home That Left Victim Unconscious, Hospitalized A 21-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly attacking a Connecticut acquaintance in a violent assault that left the victim unconscious and bleeding, according to Darien police. Maodo Malick Ndiaye, of New York, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and strangulation/suffocation, police said. 20-Year-Old From Norwalk Surrenders After Causing Reckless Driving Crash In Darien, Police Say A 20-year-old man accused of causing a single-car crash in Fairfield County has surrendered to police more than a month later. The wreck happened Sunday, Sept. 3, in Darien on Hollow Tree Ridge Road near Allwood Road, according to Darien Police. An investigation found that Griffin Makovsky, of Norwalk, was speeding and ran a stop sign before crashing over a rock wall and striking a tree. No other vehicles were involved and there were no reports of injuries. On Saturday Oct. 21, Makovsky turned himself in on an active arrest warrant stemming from the crash. Intoxicated Man Found Asleep At Fairfield County Intersection, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with driving under the influence after being found asleep behind the wheel of his Subaru sedan. Billy Estrada, age 30, of Stamford, was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 4, after a Darien Police officer spotted the car in the middle of the road at the intersection of Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Allwood Road.
