Westchester Man Advances To Next Round Of 'Jeopardy!' A Hudson Valley man is living out his dream by competing on "Jeopardy!," and to top it off winning on his first appearance. Westchester resident Pasquale Palumbo, age 45, of Hawthorne, made his show debut on Thursday, April 8, and walked off the set with  $6,799, and a chance to win again on Friday, April 9. The latest episode will be broadcast at 7 p.m. Friday on WABC-TV (Channel 7). The Northern Westchester man, who said he has been watching the show since he was a kid in the 80s, was set to appear on the show last year but his chance at stardom was hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic.…

Norwalk Man Appears As Contestant On Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament A seventh-grade teacher in Westchester who lives in Fairfield County showed off his smarts on Jeopardy!, the popular television game show. Norwalk resident Peter Gouveia, who teaches at Rye Middle School, was a contestant in the Jeopardy!!’s Teachers Tournament that aired this past week. Gouveia was chosen out of nearly 100,000 applicants after taking an online test a year ago and auditioning for the show in Boston in January. Area HS Teacher Advances To Finals Of 'Jeopardy!' Tourney Of Champions A high school teacher in Northern Westchester who lives in Ulster County has now advanced to the finals of the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions. In May, Francois Barcomb, of New Paltz, an 11th-grade physics teacher at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, earlier took home the $100,000 "Jeopardy!" Teachers Tournament. In July, Barcomb was one of the game show's 15 top competitors invited back to compete for the much-anticipated Tournament of Champions and a chance for a $250,000 grand prize.
