23-Year-Old Driving Under Influence Repeatedly Crashes Into New Canaan House, Police Say A 23-year-old man was allegedly under the influence when he repeatedly drove into a home before attempting to flee in Fairfield County, police said. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department received a report shortly before 4 a.m. when a driver - later identified as New Canaan resident Ryan Rothfuss -repeatedly crashed his vehicle into a Hoyt Street home.
