New Canaan Shop Fails Tobacco Compliance Check, Police Say Authorities shared the results of tobacco compliance inspections at a group of Fairfield County businesses.  Police conducted unannounced compliance inspections at New Canaan businesses that sell tobacco products and/or electronic cigarettes on Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to the New Canaan Police Department. Delivery Driver Charged With DUI After Bringing Shipment To Liquor Store In New Canaan A delivery driver was arrested after employees at an area liquor store called police, suspecting that he was intoxicated or in need of medical attention when the driver brought his shipment.  The incident happened on Saturday, Dec. 12 at approximately 1:15 p.m. in New Canaan. Benjamin Edward Musso, of Naugatuck, 26, was alleged to be "very lethargic" and "unsteady on his feet" when New Canaan Police arrived at A-1 Cellars on Elm Street.
