The final score was 27-0. That snapped Darien's 34-game win streak as New Canaan won the Turkey Bowl for the first time in five years.
Darien High played the game without two key players, including the starting quarterback.
Jack Joyce, the starting quarterback, and Brian Minicus, a wide receiver and defensive back did not play in the game, according to the Stamford Advocate. The two Darien High seniors were arrested Wednesday night in connection with an assault on a New Canaan teenager on Nov. 6.
