NEW CANAAN, Conn. – The New Canaan under-12 girls soccer team edged Darien Blue, 1-0, in a game last weekend.

Claire Ross scored the game’s only goal. India Otero’s pressure on the New Canaan defense helped set up the goal.

Other strong players for Darien included Joelle Anselmo, Sarah Spadacinni, Lucy Coutts, Jessie Eccleston, Lauren Sampson. KK Marcus, Kayla Beck, Whitney Bryant, Jessie Dolby, Kendall Patten,Bridget Salmini, Katelyn Sparks, Libby Tedford, Ryan Mushkin, and Lauren Bisceglia.

New Canaan is coached by Barry Beattie.
