NEW CANAAN, Conn. New Canaan Field Club's Ian Robert won three races and 11 country records fell at Saturday's Fairfield County Swimming League championships at Roxbury Swim Club in Stamford.
Host Roxbury won the meet, its fourth title in five years, followed by Rocky Point of Greenwich. New Canaan FC finished ninth in team scoring.
Robert, competing in the boys 17-and-under age group, won the butterfly, backstroke and freestyle to lead the New Canaan swimmers. Meghan Egan won the girls 14-and-under individual medley and took second in the butterfly and third in the freestyle. Stephen Skaperdas took second in the boys 17-and-under butterfly. Olivia Silverman was third in the girls 14-and-under breaststroke, and Cara Egan was third in the girls 17-and-under breaststroke and freestyle.
Roxbury's William Montesi and Shore and Country Club's Guido Balderrama set two records each. Complete results are available on the league's website.
