New Canaan High School boys varsity lacrosse head coach Alex Whitten discusses the new makeup of his team in the video as well as how he motivates his players with the high expectations that come with playing for the Rams.
New Canaan's 2010 season ended in heartbreak twice. The Rams lost to Greenwich, 5-4, in the FCIAC finals and lost a double-overtime thriller to archrival Darien, also 5-4, in the Class M state semifinals in June. The Rams are searching for their first state and FCIAC championship since 2003. New Canaan last made an appearance in the state finals in 2008.
New Canaan kicks off its 2011 schedule on April 9 at Somers, N.Y. The Rams open their home slate with an FCIAC finals rematch against Greenwich on April 12.
