It took three-set wins by both the No. 2 doubles team of Amanda Merjian and Kristin Laub and the No. 3 doubles team of Phoebe Wilkes and Kate Howard to do it, but they did it.
The New Canaan High School girls tennis defeated Greenwich, 5-2, in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference tournament championship game Wednesday at Wilton High. The New Canaan girls went a perfect 19-0 in their 2011 FCIAC campaign.

No. 4 Singles: Jensen Lee defeated Audrey Villemure, 6-0, 6-4
No. 1 Doubles: Kimmy Glerum and Sara Greene defeated by Michele Vogt and Anna Sweeney, 6-1, 4-6, 3-6
No. 2 Doubles: Amanda Merjian and Kristin Laub defeated Katey Hopper and Lauren Daccache, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3
No. 3 Doubles: Phoebe Wilkes and Kate Howard defeated Jordana Cepelewicz and Hannah Kratky, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4
